The website for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has many great articles by general authorities on the topic of missionary work and preparing for a mission. Here is the list I have made and I try to keep up-to-date. There are many General Conference talks and magazine articles and other website content about missionary work, but in order to keep this list to a reasonable length, I’m primarily only including talks here from prophets and apostles.

I know the MTC has a video copy because I used to show my students when I taught there. Best talk on missionary work I’ve ever heard. Will pay serious $$ if anyone can find a copy of the video. Just email me.
For those wanted the great talk by Elder Holland I think this might be the one you are looking for:
“Missionary Work and the Atonement” by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland given at the Provo (Utah) Missionary Training Center on 20 June 2000:
https://www.lds.org/ensign/2001/03/missionary-work-and-the-atonement?lang=eng

I am also looking for Elder Callister’s talk “Becoming a Consecrated Missionary” but it looks like it has been deleted from the website. Thanks
Wish they had ALL talks available on LDS.org or somewhere. You can’t find ANY of the MTC devotional talks or “Being a Consecrated Missionary” anywhere! Just doesn’t make sense, those talks are all great, why hide them from the members?
we called Church Headquarters and apparently the talk given by Elder Holland was given without notes, so there isn’t a transcript, however, there is a video of it because my son watched it in the Preston England MTC in April 2011….so, if anyone knows how to get a copy of that video…I would be happy to type up the content. I will keep searching.
Did you ever find the video of Elder Holland’s talk? I so would like to get a copy of that video. JUst wondering if you did?? Thank you!

We called Salt Lake and talked to Elder HOllands secretary and she said that talk was given without a script. I do have a copy of Tad Callister’s talk, “Being a Consecrated Missionary” if you want it send me your email address.

im looking for “the character of christ” by bednar (byu-idaho) January 25, 2003
also
“is it me or the spirit?” or “how to recognize the spirit?” by bednar (mtc)
thanks
email is: delicious jello 14 at g mail
I have been looking for Bednar’s talk as well of how to recognize the spirit where he says “stop worrying about it”. It was given at the MTC June 9 2009
please email at : darjessuis@aol.com
Thanks!
Part 2 is missiong, part 1 is loaded twice, so the middle section of the three at the Mediafire links above is missing.
For the earlier Elder Bednar talk (as president of BYU Idaho) go to byui.edu and click on the link for devotionals. There is a whole load of material going back into at least the 80s from there.
Found the problem, the middle one was listed first, just out of order, no carp about that, just something that some may miss.
Do you still have a copy of Elder Callister’s talk “Becoming a Consecrated Missionary”? My son in the MTC really wants a copy of it! Thank you!
yeah i was wondering if you still had it and could repost it or reshare it! i think it has expired! thank you!
